27+ Years Entrepreneur Teaching You Skills To Be Successful!

I am a passionate and experienced writer dedicated to helping others learn and grow as writers. I have been writing for over 27 years, working with clients of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. My classes are designed to give students the greatest opportunity to succeed by providing individualized instruction that focuses on your specific needs. I emphasize practice, feedback, and growth in my lessons. As an example of how committed I am to my student's success, I offer one-on-one meetings where we can discuss any questions or concerns they may have about their progress or anything else related to writing. I also ensure you have access to quality resources and more so you can always stay up-to-date on the latest trends in writing styles. In addition to offering instruction tailored specifically for each student's needs, I also provide guidance when it comes time for you to submit work into competitions/publications or look into getting published professionally down the line if that's something they're interested in doing! My advice includes advice on which markets would be most suited for your work based, help formatting manuscripts properly, finding contacts within publishing companies, etc. Suppose you'd like me to teach you on How To Be A Writer. I can do that too. In that case, you'll find me engaging through interactive activities that challenge your creativity while inspiring confidence at every stage along the way – from brainstorming ideas to manuscript submission!

Brady Adolph
Iowa City, IA

PhD Student in Classical Studies

I have a Bachelor's degree in Classical Languages from the University of Iowa and a Master's degree in Classical Studies (Latin track) from Indiana University. In the fall, I will be continuing my studies in pursuit of a PhD at a different institution, although I have not made the choice yet. At Indiana University, I was the instructor of record for four semesters of language instruction. I have had the opportunity to work with both undergraduate and graduate students. As the instructor of small classes, I have worked regularly one-on-one with my students. During my undergrad, I worked as the department Greek tutor. Also, I volunteered one school year (2018-2019) at Iowa City High School, teaching Latin. Otherwise, I have made a study of both Greek and Latin for about eight years. I have taken seven and a half years of Greek/Latin classes, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. As part of my graduate instruction, I worked as an assistant instructor for three semesters: Ancient Greek Culture (FA20, SP21), Classical Mythology (SP20). I was responsible for leading the discussion sections for these classes. In discussion section, we reviewed points of scholarly interest in translated Greek texts. We formulated hypotheses concerning these points of interest, and developed arguments in support or refutation. I worked with students on developing their papers for these classes, and I was responsible for grading all of the essays. I have written numerous A papers, and a couple A+ papers, for graduate seminars. Recently, one of these papers served me successfully, as a writing sample in an application to a high-ranking PhD program in Classical Studies. I understand the standards of academic writing in the humanities, and the expectations of instructors for graduate and undergraduate students.

Andrew Primous

Multi-talented grad student; Teaching students to love writing one session at a time.

I am a top of the line Creative Writing coach. I give feedback, tips, mentorship, and more than all else will teach you how to write consistently, and how to entertain an audience. If you are someone who pictures themselves one day creating music or cinematic experiences on the grandest stage of all I am the tutor for you. I can cater my lesson plans to any age and experience level I have taught from middle school all the way to M.F.A students. My goal is to help creatives struggling to manifest their inner artist. I am an M.F.A student from SIUC with a lot of experience and a lot of connections and opportunities, who can play both as a tutor and a networker for talented writers. I myself have written over 1000 pages in my first year of grad school while maintaining a part time job, and being a full time student. I can take that idea for a book that you have been mulling over for the past decade, and bring it to life within months. In my course there are several options of focus-- they are as follows; Story structure(s), character structure, good vs bad dialogue, Defeating Writer's Block, writing for TV, writing for feature film, writing for short film, Genre accuracy, songwriting, and how to speak with executives. Before meeting we will discuss what you are most interested in learning, and how it is best to go about learning them. No matter your current level or your artistic field. If you want to begin to professionalize your craft, please reach out and make you the best writer you can be.
