I have written essays for as long as I can remember! Whether they were just personal essays, or academic essays, I always made sure that my best effort was put first. I love the idea of any type of wr... iting, and being able to help other people write is something that I enjoy. I was an in-class tutor for a collegiate level class that was struggling in English, but especially in the writing category. This allowed me to walk around and help some college students be able to understand their thinking and be able to relay certain information to them. Hi!! My name is Alyssa! I'm currently a fifth-year senior in college majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in English at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I have always wanted to become... a teacher ever since I was six years old, and now that I am close to finishing my degree, that dream is officially turning into a reality. I have always thought of teaching the little children (ranging from kindergarten to second grade) but something about English just kept coming back. I have always loved English growing up, as it has been my favorite subject throughout my years of schooling, so these is something about helping students in this field that just draws into me. I have been a volunteer tutor for many friends and family throughout the years, but my first official tutoring job was being an in-class tutor for college students that were essentially put into a high school english curriculum classroom. Being able to help these students kind of draws a spark into specifically teaching English, but the world may never know. For my goal as a tutor, I just want the students that I come in contact with to leave with something that I've taught them. I know that all students are different, and that is why it won't be the same for every lesson, but I know that students take on a lot of different information at once. For this reason, if the students leave with just one thing from every lesson that they can use for the rest of their lives, it means that I made an impact of their education and that is enough to keep me going.read more
