Writing is a crucial skill. Writing does not merely allow us to share our thoughts. It actually helps us to think more critically, exercise our abstract reasoning, and understand the importance of evidence-based argumentation. I can help students hone these skills. I know this because I have a record of doing so, and it is something I very much enjoy. Students are empowered when they can write engagingly and convincingly.

From a young age Science has always been my favorite subject. I have studied Chemistry for 3 years. In High School I always heard that everyone hated Chemistry and that it was their least favorite subject, but not me. I was in my first Chemistry class my sophomore year of high school and then took AP Chemistry as well my senior year and fell in love with the subject even more. Unfortunately I did not have a good Chemistry teacher. She was not very good and relayed the information in a way that was not understandable. So I taught myself, and my fellow classmates. I attend Washington State University and am a Chemistry Secondary Education major. In my first year I have currently taken Chemistry 105 as well as Chemistry 116 which is an honors level Chemistry class. I am very focused on my academics. Here at Washington State University I am a part of the Honors College. Being a part of the Honors College I maintain an overall GPA of 3.2 or above while taking higher level courses.
