Psychology Tutor

I have worked within and actively studying psychology since I was in high school. Through the University at Albany, SUNY, I was able to pursue an academic career in psychological research. The program was a total of 3 years, overall earning 12 college credits from the University at Albany. I was a T.A. for the UAlbany University in High School Research Program at Y.P.I.E (Yonkers Partners in Education), a local non-profit located in Yonkers, New York built to support underserved students in the Yonkers School District. I had taught and mentored for YPIE and its students for 2 years, mainly teaching research writing, presentation design and software, and public speaking. I also advised students on finding mentorship and to collaborate with other professionals in the field. I had worked on research in architectural psychology, measuring employee productivity, via a specialized scale to track self reported results, in an open office comparing to a traditional office spaces. For the next 2 years of the University in High School program, I had worked in Music and Movement Therapy on children with severs ASD. I had partnered with Dr. Bradley Bloomfield from the University of Alabama, to work on this research project at Camp Ramapo, a camp designed for children with special needs. Due to Covid-19 however, these projects were halted. But, I'm currently planning on redoing the study now that I am a college student, with University resources. I have taught to students from age 5-18+, I have training in child development, first aid and cpr, child nutrition, psychological first aid, psycho-education, and psychological research skills. I have many interdisciplinary skills and experiences that I have completed over my life so far. I love teaching, I think it is a crucial skills to have and can truly inspire people to see what is out there.

Lindsay Eller
Mount Holly, VT

Creative Arts Mentor

I have a BA in Studio Arts, with a Drawing and Painting emphasis, and currently work as a professional abstract artist under the name, Linden Eller As an educator, I have experience teaching a wide range of ages, from early childhood to adults. I taught as a full time preschool and kindergarten teacher in Japan from 2017 - 2018, and taught remotely for Bilin Academy, which primarily works with children in China integrating immersive English lessons with drawing. Most recently, from 2020 - 2023, I worked for a small art studio in Manhattan, teaching online kids, teens, and adults in drawing, painting, and mixed media. I write highly engaging curriculum, including social emotional learning components, art history aspects, specific art techniques and principles, and step by step projects. Lessons have a deep focus on encouraging each student’s unique voice, the creative process, and individualized one on one constructive feedback, including clear areas of praise, and suggestions to consider. In addition to teaching, I lead our whole team of instructors, guiding them through assessments, student concerns, and trainings for growth. I now work as an independent teaching artist, both locally in Vermont, as well as remotely online. I am fiercely passionate about promoting creativity, and am always seeking out meaningful ways to pass on my knowledge and skills. My teaching philosophy is to challenge students with design principals and techniques, while also encouraging them to playfully explore their own intuition and style.
