About
Hi! I’m Carlie! I’m a Massachusetts native currently going to the University of Massachusetts Amherst for journalism and political science. On top of my studies, I enjoy fiction writing, crocheting, p... laying games from the Legend of Zelda series, drawing, and hiking.
My tutoring philosophy is that if a student doesn’t feel confident and comfortable, then I’m doing something wrong. When I tutor, I like to make the space as comfortable and safe as possible to make sure the student can feel like its okay to make mistakes. The best way to learn is to make mistakes and grow from them, so whatever I need to do to make the student comfortable, is something I will do!
The main reason I like tutoring is I like helping people and seeing them grow. Throughout my education experience, there have been many times where I have felt lost, but teachers and tutors have consistently been there to pick me up. Being able to do the same thing for other students brightens my day and continues to drive me as I work towards being a professor.read more
