I've had a passion for literature since I learned to read. I've spent my life gulping down every book I can get my hands on and love nothing more than helping others find all of the secrets and epipha... nies that hide between the lines. Literature is a beautiful tool of communication, one that everyone should be able to utilize. I am currently studying literature and education at Bennington College. I'm an alum of Interlochen Arts Academy where I majored in creative writing, and received a life-changing education in literature. I took extensive advanced english classes throughout high school such as elements classes in both fiction and poetry, Stories in Verse, Writing the Novel, Shakespeare, both fiction and non-fiction writing workshops, and several more. I earned high A's in every class and scored a 5 on the Advanced Placement Literature and Composition exam. I also have experience working on the editorial team of the Interlochen Review, a literary magazine. I was in a position which required in depth analysis, evaluation, and editing of writing submitted by students internationally. Hello hello! My name is Nicholas. I'm from a small town in Indiana, but right now I'm a student at Bennington College in Vermont. I am studying literature, specifically creative writing, and am at the... beginning of my path to becoming a college professor. In my time as a student I've experienced countless different student/educator dynamics; some were great, and some were not so great. I've been lucky to find teachers and professors throughout my years in school that made me feel more like we were working as a team to further my education than anything else. Those teachers always got through to me the most, which is why I approach tutoring in a similar style. I think a key part of helping students is meeting them on their level and curating a work style that works for them.
