Hunter HerrlingerAkron, OHCertified Music Producer and Guitar Expert
Throughout most of my life, music has played a major role, and it has made an impact on shaping who I am as a person. When I was 8 years old, I started to take an interest in learning to play the guitar, and I had gotten my first guitar on my 10th birthday. Soon after that, I joined the band class at the Elementary school I attended to learn about music more generally.
From there, I began to learn more about music and about the guitar, and I began to start writing my own music that I would perform on the guitar, and eventually arranging music that my High School Marching/Concert Band would perform. At the end of my Sophomore year of High School, I was appointed as the President of the Bands for my Junior year, and would serve in that position for both my Junior and Senior years. During my Senior year, I was a Student Teacher for the school’s Guitar class, and won a 1st place Guitar Solo award at “Jazz Fest”, a school district-wide competition between the jazz bands at each School.
While I was the Student Teacher for the Guitar class, the students that I taught showed improvements in both performance ability and guitar knowledge over time, while also having fun and feeling pride in their progress. Many students in this class received passing grades and beyond in classes and on tests, and some students would continue to learn and play after they completed the class.
A few years after I graduated High School, I would go on to study Music Production at Full Sail University, a private university that offers education programs that are designed for entertainment media. I am now a Certified in Music Production from Full Sail University, and I often work with guitar recordings, including my own.
