I want to help people make the music that they want to make. I am well versed in chord theory, jazz harmony and modes. I have a heavy background in blues, soul, rock, country and traditional jazz. I am very passionate about music and I am very passionate about multiple styles. Your lesson will be focused on what you want to learn and will be very individualized for your needs and aspirations as a musician. Hello! I’m Matthew Schad. I have been gigging since I’ve been 18 years old. In Ohio, I played with a blues and funk group called “Johnny Reed and the House Rockers”. We played regionally and that was ... my first paid gig in the music industry. Since then, I have played in a lot of different projects. I have been playing guitar full time for a year now. My primary gigs in the past year have been the following Cameron Webb Blues and Soul Revue Cameron Webb and the Marquis blues band “Pure Soul Presents” which is a company that puts on shows in every major city. The primary shows that I have played with them are the following: Soul tribute, Motown Tribute, Amy Wine house tribute. Ryan Curtis Band. A honky tonk country band. VIP Funk band based out of Milwaukee Current residency Thursday-Saturday at a speakeasy experience called “Roar on Rush”. At this residency we play everything from 20s jazz to Aretha Franklin.
