Hello! My name is Guy D. Platter and I tutor remotely out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. I graduated from Purdue Fort Wayne with a Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2022 and work as... an independent contractor day-to-day.
I have been producing and writing music for 11 years, as well as playing and writing on guitar for 7 years. I have tutored friends and colleagues independently for several years and I'm now looking to take it a step further and provide my resources on a larger scale.
Understanding musical structure and creating unique, powerful songs are my areas of expertise and are skills I have spent many years learning and developing. My lessons would cover any topic of interest in these areas such as mixing, mastering, composition, and detailed information on how to compose and structure songs in any genre of choice. Along with this, I want to provide a heavy emphasis on the unique sound and feel of my students' music and guitar playing.
I would love to educate and inform potential students on how to develop their own unique songwriting style, while still creating musical pieces that are coherent and consistent throughout.
If you struggle with songwriting, writing melodies, structuring songs, or accurately putting your ideas on a musical canvas in any way, I have many years of experience which equip me to pinpoint and assist in remedying the problems you may have.
My ultimate goal in tutoring is to be a helping hand for new, aspiring artists and provide them with ideas and concepts which will motivate and inspire the best possible musical output. Essentially - I want to know what your musical goals are as an artist and work with you to reach them. Many people say you can't teach feel or style, but I certainly believe it's something that can be drawn out and grown through proper tutoring and mentorship from someone like myself.
