I understand common points of confusion and frustration that come up while learning theory, and can explain ideas simply while working to apply and practice them. I'm also si... milarly passionate about songwriting. What I like most about tutoring is when the light bulb goes off over the student's head and it finally clicks for them. My philosophy is to find out what the student's understanding of the material is, and where they start to lose their understanding. When I find out what's causing confusion, I'll find a fun activity or worksheet to do with them until they understand the material.
