Chantel KardousBoston, MABoston University Student
I discovered writing and English as my passion 7 years ago. In high school, I wrote, edited, and published a 467-page novel at Harvard Book Store in Boston. I was also a Writing Mentor for students aged 8-19 at the Wheeler School in Providence, RI. My creative poetry and prose has been awarded and recognized by the Scholastic Writing Contest and the Nancy Thorp Poetry Contest. My short screenplay 'Fish & Match' was Officially Selected to be included in the New York Script Awards and was a Finalist in the Boston Screenplay Awards. I studied at Barnard College through their Young Women's Leadership Institute' Pre-College Program. I am a rising junior at Boston University, studying Film & Television and English, on the Dean's List. I am the founder, President, and Head Writer of 'STUDS', a Boston-student-run screenwriter's guild. I am a Writer's Apprentice and Screenwriter for BU TV shows, and have accumulated my own portfolio, which includes creative poetry, prose, short screenplays, a feature-length script, and a novel.
