Hello, I'm Shira! I'm a college student in Massachusetts, where I'm studying Religion and Politics. I grew up in New Hampshire, and went to school there. New Hampshire was also where I got involved wi... th state and local politics, which taught me a lot about how political systems work and how social movements progress. I also gained a love for hiking, camping, and all things outdoors! On my gap year after high school I worked in a seventh grade classroom. This experience taught me a lot about education inequality, and since then I have become passionate about paying forward my educational opportunities through tutoring. I have worked at my school as a peer mentor to help my fellow students with their papers and projects for their classes, tutored elementary school students in the area, and worked as an assistant grader to help teachers grade english assignments for elementary and middle school students.
