Akeisha L.Hartford, CTMaster’s Student
Recently, I graduated Clark University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. I’ve spent most of my schooling in pursuing English courses, which then led into obtaining a degree on it. I have always had a passion for English and learning how to construct writings of every kind whether that be for essays, articles, poetry (which I do write a lot of and published my own book on a collection of poems). I haven’t had as many experiences with teaching/ tutoring English, except for a volunteer tutoring position I had with JVS Boston as their Digital Skills Volunteer in which I taught non-English speakers or those whose primary language was not English, how to maneuver zoom. Even though this position’s primary focus was technology , I also had some opportunity to instruct people on the English dialect, what things are called, what to refer to them as , etc.
