Alisa KhodosIrvine, CAUCLA Graduate, Violin Instructor
I have been playing the violin for 15 years. From age 12, I was featured as a soloist abroad with the Irvine Classical Players Orchestra, performing in venues such as La Madeleine (Paris, France), the Pantheon (Rome, Italy), the Saint Peter’s Church (Vienna, Austria), and the Altenberger Dom (Odenthal, Germany), amongst others. In 2023, I completed my Bachelor's Degree at UCLA under the guidance of violin professors Movses Pogossian and Varty Manouelian, and will be pursuing my Masters Degree at The Royal Conservatory of The Hague, Netherlands, in the fall of 2024.
I have had an active teaching studio for 9 years. I very much enjoy teaching, as it allows me the opportunity to open a door into a new world for students of all ages and backgrounds. For me, music has always been a major source of joy; it gave me a purpose and a way to stay in touch with the sphere of the world that isn’t seen, but one that is felt. I believe everyone has the right to explore a possible connection to this realm of sounds and emotions, and it would be my honor to take part in making this a possibility for anyone across the globe.
During lessons, I tailor my lessons to match the interests, personality, and musical capacities of each individual student. My ultimate goal is for the student to have fun, learn, grow musically, and fall in love with music in the process.
