Math and Science Tutor

I have a love and passion for every branch of mathematics and have studied extensively for over 12 years both in and out of school. I have also been teaching and tutoring everything from pre-algebra to advanced calculus for over 8 years. I am presently just 10 credits away from earning a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, with an emphasis on applications to scientific theory and modeling. In addition to having cultivated a deep knowledge of mainstream mathematics, I have also explored many mathematical avenues that lie off the beaten path. For instance, I am currently writing a textbook about alternative (algebraic) foundations for number theory, geometry and calculus. Fractal geometry is another fantastic playground of alternative mathematics that I would love to teach! My favorite subjects to teach are algebra (elementary/linear/abstract), geometry (elementary/analytic/differential), set theory (basic to advanced, such as in real/complex analysis or point-set topology), graph theory (especially network theory), probability, and all flavors of calculus. I love number theory, as well, but have not yet had the chance to teach it directly. In addition to the pure maths, I have taught many applications such as physics (algebra-based up through general relativity and quantum field theory), statistics, network analysis, and nonlinear dynamics (including catastrophe theory and bifurcation analysis). Finally, I have experience teaching people how to use mathematical computing software such as Wolfram Mathematica and the Desmos Online Graphing Calculator, as well as more basic software like Java and Excel, for problem solving, data analysis, and data representation.

Georgia Tech College Student

I am excited to offer my services as your Mathematics tutor, drawing upon my extensive knowledge and expertise as a student of Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech. My academic journey at one of the premier institutions for engineering has equipped me with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications. My rigorous curriculum at Georgia Tech has given me a strong foundation in various branches of mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. I have successfully applied these principles to solve complex engineering problems, showcasing a practical understanding of mathematical theories. I understand that every student has a unique learning style and pace. Through my own academic journey, I have developed the ability to adapt my teaching methods to cater to individual needs. I understand how difficult it can be when subjects challenge you because I have felt the same. But through this struggle I have learned many amazing ways to enjoy learning math and improve my skills. Whether you are a visual learner, a hands-on learner, or prefer a theoretical approach, I can tailor my tutoring sessions to suit your preferences. Engineering education at Georgia Tech emphasizes problem-solving, and I have honed my analytical and critical thinking skills through numerous challenging projects and assignments. I am well-equipped to guide students in developing these essential skills, not only for academic success but also for future career endeavors. I believe that effective communication is key to successful tutoring.
