I love teaching Mathematics to elementary and middle school. I love dealing with these set of students. One of the strategies I use to teach this group is learning by doing, students need to do the Ma... th and not just memorize or familiarize a concept. A positive growth mentality is possibly the best instrument for studying math. Students can open themselves up to taking risks, which are crucial to learning, when they are taught to accept their mistakes and view struggle as a chance for improvement. This is true for all learners. The ability to make mistakes freely and the time to reflect are crucial components of learning in general and are often lacking in math classes.
