Berklee College of Music

I am a graduate of the Berklee College of Music and have a deep passion for music and writing songs, as well as teaching and supporting families. My experience areas include music theory, composition, music history, piano, guitar and vocal technique, songwriting, harmonic ear training and performance skills building. As well as previously mentioned music skills, I also have experience with marketing, licensing, publishing and artist management, supporting emerging artists find their voice and handle the pressures that come with developing in the modern day music industry. My priority as an instructor is to provide the best experience possible in a relaxed setting to help the student build confidence, have a great foundation to form musicianship and create life long memories, finding joy, peace and healing in the participation in music as a life long process. My mission is to be a guide on the side, instilling in students proper technique, while more importantly gently assisting them to develop their own artistry and discover who they truly are through song, as well as supporting them with their own personal goals. I like making acoustic guitar lessons fun and worthwhile for all ages and current level, whether student ranges from beginner to more advanced. I'm a great instructor for learning guitar as your first instrument or helping intermediate players with performance and learning to play their favorite songs, as well as singing and playing guitar at the same time.

Certified Music Producer and Guitar Expert

Throughout most of my life, music has played a major role, and it has made an impact on shaping who I am as a person. When I was 8 years old, I started to take an interest in learning to play the guitar, and I had gotten my first guitar on my 10th birthday. Soon after that, I joined the band class at the Elementary school I attended to learn about music more generally. From there, I began to learn more about music and about the guitar, and I began to start writing my own music that I would perform on the guitar, and eventually arranging music that my High School Marching/Concert Band would perform. At the end of my Sophomore year of High School, I was appointed as the President of the Bands for my Junior year, and would serve in that position for both my Junior and Senior years. During my Senior year, I was a Student Teacher for the school’s Guitar class, and won a 1st place Guitar Solo award at “Jazz Fest”, a school district-wide competition between the jazz bands at each School. While I was the Student Teacher for the Guitar class, the students that I taught showed improvements in both performance ability and guitar knowledge over time, while also having fun and feeling pride in their progress. Many students in this class received passing grades and beyond in classes and on tests, and some students would continue to learn and play after they completed the class. A few years after I graduated High School, I would go on to study Music Production at Full Sail University, a private university that offers education programs that are designed for entertainment media. I am now a Certified in Music Production from Full Sail University, and I often work with guitar recordings, including my own.
