After taking the ACT twice, I was able to obtain a top 1% score using the learning techniques I meticulously self-learned throughout high school. I know everything needed to get an ivy level score, and I'm ready to apply this knowledge to any gaps my students have in the most effective way possible. If after 10 lessons you still haven't achieved your dream score, I'll do the rest for free until you're at the score you desire. My four years of dedicated tutoring have allowed me to refine my teaching methodologies and develop a deep understanding of the ACT's structure, content, and scoring criteria. I've had the privilege of working with over 200 students, each with their unique strengths and weaknesses. This exposure has given me the ability to adapt my teaching approach to suit individual learning styles and needs effectively. In addition to my expertise as an ACT tutor, I bring a unique advantage to your test preparation and academic growth. My commitment to effective learning strategies extends beyond the ACT, making me not only an ACT teacher but also a study coach who can significantly enhance your performance in various academic pursuits. UChicago Student, Chemistry; Pre-Med; Anthopology Major

It is one of my strongest convictions that the ability to write concisely and expressively is the most important professional skill a student will ever use. Writing will earn you A's on your high school transcript, a seat in the college of your choice, and eventually a career. I'm here to help you perfect these skills as you approach these opportunities. A little about my background in reading and writing: Since my mother was the English Department Chair of my high school, she had me write essays every day over summer break when I was in elementary school (don't worry -- I won't make you do that!). Although it wasn't my activity of choice at the time, I'm now grateful that I had the time to start practicing creativity and analytical thinking skills very early on. Although it was optional, I took year-long English classes every year in high school and into my first year at college. In high school, I won an essay-writing competition about climate change that afforded me the opportunity to study at Oxford during the summer of 2020. I also co-founded the Science Journal club, whose members would read and discuss publications produced by alumnae from my high school. Moreover, we would also invite the speaker back to discuss the paper with us – an element that opened up many research opportunities to our club members. In college, I took a humanities sequence called "Language and the Human" in which we examined the relationship between language and power, thought, and identity. This class not only assigned a diverse array of literature, but also sharpened my close-reading skills and ability to write arguments in non-conventional essay styles. Over these experiences, I have accumulated a myriad of skills that I'm ready to teach to other younger students – with the goal of fostering the confidence to achieve writing-related goals, as well as genuine curiosity to explore the subject more.
