Alexandra ZweiflerYpsilanti, MILanguage and Success Coach
I am a native English speaker from Southeast Michigan. I also speak German as a second language. I am a very goal-oriented ESL instructor and success coach, have exceptional interpersonal skills and years of success coaching, teaching, and curriculum development experience. I am a mom and have taught ESL to children, adolescents, and adults in community class, K-12, and higher education learning environments. In my free time, I like to spend time in nature and with my family. I am passionate about helping aspiring college level students and moms in my community reach their learning and life goals. I always take the time to get to know each student I work with as an individual and whole person. I try to make connections between students' language goals, personal interests, cultural backgrounds, beliefs, values, and experiences. I prefer to refer to myself as a language coach, rather than teacher because I believe that the word teacher implies one person is somehow more or less responsible for the learning outcomes. As your language coach, I will be on your team, supporting and guiding you toward reaching your language goals. In my experience as a teacher, student, mom, and individual, I have found that the most effective way to learn is to teach, and the most effective way to teach is to learn.
