I have been teaching ESL for over 5 years, both online and in-person classes. I enjoy helping others learn a new language and meeting people from around the world. I am also learning Spanish so I u... nderstand the difficulties and struggles of learning a new language. Therefore, I teach people how they want and need to learn. For example, if there are certain topics or areas of interest that somebody wants to learn, then I focus my lessons to meet these requests. Some students just want to practice conversation, so the focus could be on that. Children often like to learn with songs and games, so I create classes that are more interactive. I like to find creative ways to teach so that the student has the best opportunity to improve their language learning. I have also been substitute teaching within the local school district for the past two years. I teach all grade levels at elementary schools including ESL classes and DLI (Dual Language Immersion) classes. I have also taught adults in ESL classes. W... e rent an apartment and love traveling, so we tend to keep our apartment simple, yet filled with treasures from places we have gone. I became certified to teach ESL while living in Nicaragua several years ago, and have continued teaching ESL as we continued traveling in South America I really love teaching English to anybody who wants to learn and practice.
