I come from a native Spanish bilingual background but I wasn't always interested in learning the language. However, I had a change of heart when I attended college and felt drawn to learning more abou... t the language and the cultures behind it. I studied Spanish language at Brigham Young University for four years and have also spent some time in Mexico and in Brussels, where I found a community of Spanish speaking people from all over the world. I have taken several Spanish writing and Spanish grammar classes that I enjoyed and I am aware of the variety of Spanish/Latin American literature and cultures that are out there. read more

Hi! I'm Ruth. I'm originally from LA area in Southern California but I'm currently living in Utah because I'm pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at BYU. I'm majoring in Spanish Language and minoring in Fren... ch language and Teaching English as a Second Language (also known as TESOL). Languages have always been a huge interest and a huge part in my life. I lived in France and Belgium for a year and a half and I've traveled to a few other countries. Getting to know other people's cultures and languages is important to me and I love sharing that with others if I can. Outside of studying, I enjoy spending time with my little family and extended family here.
