As someone who comes from parents who had to learn English as a second-language, English has become an important part in my life. I studied TESOL (teaching English as a second language) at Brigham You... ng University and learned so many helpful strategies, activities and knowledge about the English language. I spent four months teaching English at the BYU English Language Center along with a veteran English teacher who had been teaching at the center for many years. Hi! I'm Ruth. I'm originally from LA area in Southern California but I'm currently living in Utah because I'm pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at BYU. I'm majoring in Spanish Language and minoring in Fren... ch language and Teaching English as a Second Language (also known as TESOL). Languages have always been a huge interest and a huge part in my life. I lived in France and Belgium for a year and a half and I've traveled to a few other countries. Getting to know other people's cultures and languages is important to me and I love sharing that with others if I can. Outside of studying, I enjoy spending time with my little family and extended family here.
