I am a colorful, fun and art loving person who has loved art my whole life! After I studied and received my Art Education bachelor's degree , I have taught using a disciplined based approach since 19... 97, which combines art history, criticism aesthetics and personal expression to students aged PreK - grade 12. I am very experienced and comfortable teaching about art within the framework of a larger cultural framework, as art history and the artistic process of artists has long been my passion. Over the years I have sought opportunities for continuous education through professional workshops and training, and work collaboratively with my colleagues and fellow artists to bring art into the classroom and make it 'real' for students. When I taught at the high school level, I helped coordinate and lead an annual trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC to engage in and learn from the amazing art there with my students.
