I have been interested in the sciences since I was in the third grade. Growing up, I was always interested in animals and ended up taking a variety of different science classes in high school, includi... ng anatomy & physiology and zoology. I continued my scientific education in college, majoring in biology. My college offered courses in genetics, microbiology, zoology, and botany. Additionally, I was required to analyze scientific papers and create my own experiments as well as peer review the seminars and scientific papers of my peers. Howdy! My name is Amaya Gentry though I occasionally go by AJ. I was born and raised mostly in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been a book lover and an avid learner since I was young child, and my love for l... earning has only grown as I have grown. My favorite subjects in school were always English based, however because I excelled in science fields, I ended up majoring in biology when I went to college. However, when I went to college, I realized just how much I wanted to do since I was free to learn whatever I wanted. Writing has always been a passion of mine so I quickly added Creative Writing as a double major (though it was later demoted to a minor). I also took Spanish throughout college as I love learning. In addition to my actual concentrations, I have partaken in many different fields and opportunities including entrepreneurial competitions, social science studies, and foreign language clubs.
