I took Eliana McBride’s piano class and I felt that was the most productive music class I have taken in my college career! She broke concepts into pieces that were were not too easy or not hard, gave extra time to students who needed it, and answered questions that I had over finger-positioning. If you ever want piano lessons, Eliana is the person you should go to!

I'm a music composition major that just so happens to be a pianist that has been playing ever since I was little. I couldn't read piano music, so I took her piano class in the hopes that I would be able to do more than just read piano music. Elaina is by far one of the best teachers I've been taught under in my life. Not only does she expertly blend creative exploration with straight-to-the-point executions of teaching, but her genuine, fiery passion for music and strong-willed dedication to her students is truly remarkable and inspiring, and it sets her apart from anyone else I've known. Being under Elaina's guidance as as a student has changed me in ways I couldn't have imagined. I've not only improved my piano skills significantly, but I've also gained a deeper, richer understanding and appreciation for the intricacies of music composition and music as a whole. Her ability to tailor her teaching approach to each student's individual needs is extraordinary and noteworthy at its finest. She fosters a wonderful supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel empowered to take the necessary risks needed and explore their creativity. Elaina's patience, encouragement, and unwavering belief in her students have been instrumental and influential in my growth as a musician, and most importantly: an accepted human being and dear friend. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an inspiring and talented teacher as she is. I'm really proud of you Elaina :) Keep it up, keep on smiling, and keep slaying as an amazing teacher and friend like you should!

Elaina has been great. From tone and pitch to dynamics, inflection, finger/digit precision and tempo/speed, she has helped me with every part of my piano playing. The level of detail from a piano-playing standpoint is more in depth than any other piano teacher I’ve had in past years and it has made me a much better player. She also pushes me to learn about the composers of the songs she assigns to me, the time period they wrote the piece in and how songs of that time period (romantic, neoclassical, impressionist, etc.) sounded and what common themes they contained. She is also great at selecting piano pieces that target the areas you need to improve on the most (ie playing faster, playing softer, rigid songs vs songs with more expression and feeling, whatever you need to work on really) without overwhelming you with tons of pieces like many teachers tend to do. I consider myself an intermediate player and I’ve been playing piano for about 15 years. Elaina has helped me drastically improve my piano-playing ability and knowledge in a very short period of time. (A few months) Overall, can’t recommend her enough.
