Lucas ReynoldsAsheville, NCBiology Student and Science Lover
Hi, I'm Lucas! I am a third-year conservation biology student in Western NC. I provide tutoring in biology, chemistry, essay writing and revision, and introductory R programming.
I'm a lifelong lover of natural sciences, but I really struggled with a lot of my STEM classes in high school. It took me a long time to find what my own brain needs to learn best. I firmly believe that there is no one way to learn science, and everyone's brain is different. I'm happy to work alongside you to find your own best learning style.
My education experience lies in hands-on, visual, and experiential learning. I currently lead the care of a native plant greenhouse for my college, providing experiential instruction to other students and synthesizing academic work in ecology, biology, and environmental science. I have also worked with the Student Conservation Association in group study of environmental justice and education, and additionally have several years of leadership experience as a summer camp instructor.
In my free time, I love to hike, read, weave, collect CDs, play with dogs, cook, and explore.
I look forward to working with you!
