Mallory FloryPompano Beach, FLMulti-Faceted Creator & Fine Arts Instructor
I graduated with my Master of Arts degree in Music Education from Liberty University. My master's thesis, "A Qualitative Study and Comparative Analysis of Japanese and American Music Education Methodologies and Philosophies" investigated the differences that studies have yet to explore between Japanese and American music education methodologies in terms of teaching music literacy through foundational keyboard skills, world music incorporation, repertoire, and life enrichment philosophies. It is currently available for download on Liberty University's Scholars' Crossing and ProQuest.
Additionally, following a training course in SEO and developing new skills in the fast-moving industry of digital publishing, I produced a minimum of 5 articles per week in Screen Rant's house style, and my work was featured on ScreenRant's official Instagram page, which currently has over 189K followers. Required editing skills included fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing/basic editing. Furthermore, I contributed regularly by pitching story ideas based on current trends, SEO, and targeted audiences. Finally, I communicated openly with the editorial team, and synthesized feedback received by the lead editors.
In addition to scholarly writing, I also excel in creative writing. I have received instruction from university-level courses and intensives from industry professionals on topics including fundamentals of screenwriting, interpreting media from a theological/philosophical perspective, and character development. My original screenplay, Chiaroscuro: Into the Dark, was selected as a semi-finalist in the international screenplay competition: Scriptapalooza.
