About Me:
Music should be fun! No matter the age or the person, lessons should be filled with love, patience, and encouragement. Whatever the age or ability level is, I want my students to build self-confidence and passion for music throughout their time learning a musical instrument.
My journey as a violinist began at the age of five, and I’ve been so fortunate to have been teaching since I was fifteen. Since then, I’ve received both a degree in contemporary music from Western Oregon University and my Associates of Arts Degree in Music Performance from Shasta College. My experience is not limited to classical music, and I teach a wide variety of genres: worship, western fiddle, Irish, pop, and jazz among others. I also enjoy incorporating elements of music theory, history, improvisation, composition, and choreography in lessons, as there are some students who have a strong interest in arranging their favorite pieces to play on the violin.
I just completed the first in a series of children's books for violin, complete with color illustrations, activity pages and stickers.
