Multi-Knowledgeable Student Teacher

As a student, I have never received below a 85% on a Spanish assignment of any kind, including written, oral, and multiple choice. I have assisted my peers and students younger and older than me with their essays, exam prep, and various types of homework and they have always received a passing score after receiving assistance from me, even if they had failed the assignment multiple times before receiving my assistance. I am currently studying for two Bachelors Degrees in Writing and Psychology: Counseling, and I hope to get two Masters Degrees in Clinical Counseling and TESL/TESOL with an emphasis on Romance Languages. On top of this, I am a member of multiple honors societies, maintain a GPA of 3.96 in my junior year of college, and I actively work teaching Spanish speakers English remotely from my university. Though I am not a native speaker myself, I have membership in my university's club for Spanish and Latin American students, and I am able to communicate comfortably with them with few mistakes. I am always willing to put in the research, time, and effort to help you understand something on your level, even if I have to learn it on my personal time and teach it in a future session. In addition, I have experience teaching the English language to high school and college students who speak English as their second language in Ukraine, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Germany, France, Argentina, Peru, and many other Latin American countries. I have six years of language exchange experience, and I am able to communicate comfortably in English and Spanish. I have also obtained basic levels of French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and Afrikaans, and I am actively working to become conversational in those languages. Therefore, I am well-equipped to teach Spanish to English speakers ranging from those just starting out with the Spanish language to those who have reached A2/B1 level.

Bilingual tutor (Spanish / English)

I am a graduated educator from university of Cordoba, Colombia in 2009. From there, I began my teaching career in 2010 in an elementary school, more specifically, in second grade. After two years, I moved and taught middle school form two years and finally I also had an opportunity to teach adolescences from ages 13-17. I currently have 13 years of experience teaching different grade levels. 8 years teaching English in elementary and middle school combined, and 5 years teaching Spanish in High School from 9 to 12 grade in the U.S. During Covid-19 I also had the opportunity to teach virtual and hybrid lessons since since I hold an Online teaching certificate from Clemson University. My different certificates on World languages: Spanish, PLT, Online teaching and ESOL make me a good candidate since they have made me perfect my teaching skills in different fields. Among my teaching methods, I like implementing Bloom's taxonomy in my classroom. This helps me bring my students up to the top from the basic skills like recognizing, understanding up to apply, evaluate and create their on way of learning through critical thinking. Of course it is absolutely necessary to diagnose my students first to know their needs and way of learning. In a regular lesson, I will always have my lesson or unit objective, very important so that the students know their expectations, the four skills well developed and carried out through different activities and games as well as formative assessments which helps me track my student's progress and work on or adjust my lesson.
