I am passionate about Spanish. As a native speaker, the Spanish language has been a part of my culture and learning experience. As a child and through school I fell in love with Spanish and literature... . I wrote short stories for a literature contest in Spanish. Later, I moved to the United States and used my bilingual skills to help interpret and translate documents and educational materials. Now, as a college student in the science and environmental field, I have worked with the coastal reserve to develop outreach materials in Spanish and close the language gap to make available environmental and recreation information in both Spanish and English. I received my bachelor’s at the University of North Carolina at Wilmingt... on double majoring in Marine Biology and Environmental Science. My Career concentration focus is on conservation, I have worked with multiple endangered and vulnerable species as well as an educator with the development of bilingual content.
