Prealgebra is mostly about "numbers" in their most organic form. It deals with what numbers are and their properties. For instance: integers, positive and negative numbers, divisibility, prime numbers, factoring, fractions, radicals, rational numbers, irrational numbers, ratios, percentages, and more. Dealing with numbers is an inevitable part of learning any subject in math, which makes prealgebra particularly important.
Whether you are in a prealgebra class or preparing for SAT, or if you are going back to school after some time and don't know where to start, learning/reviewing prealgebra is a great place and a worthwhile investment.
I have tutored prealgebra and algebra to several middle-school, high-school, and even some college students both in person and online. I noticed one reason students might struggle with the subject is that sometimes they rely too much on calculators and need more practice with doing calculations with hand. As such, I will always provide my students with various worksheets and exercises to gain practice.
I would be more than happy to help you in prealgebra. I will prepare learning material and lesson plans for you based on your learning objectives. I provide you with different resources such as helpful demonstrations, notes, worksheets, and practice problems to help you deepen your understanding and master the subject. It would be so much fun and a pleasure.
