22/02/2023 To Whom It May Concern, My name is Christopher Alvarez, and I have been seeing Mr. Richard Evans as my tutor since my sophomore year of high school. I proudly and greatly recommend him as he has helped me with my geometry, algebra, and chemistry. He is slow and doesn’t rush what we are learning, and he makes sure you understand precisely what is happening, and even shares how to use what we are learning for real-life problems while talking about how he’s used them in his life. He’s reliable, flexible, and always understanding. There have been times when I couldn’t make it to our designated time for tutoring, and he has always been able to set a different time and reschedule. If I’m unable to understand the topic, he always teaches multiple ways so that I may understand. He’s patient and respectful toward me, he wants to make sure that you succeed in what you are doing, and he is very passionate about schooling because he wants you to thrive in your studies. Mr. Evans is quite creative and explains everything in great detail. He knows what he is talking about and is very knowledgeable in every lesson we’ve encountered. He has been able to help my failing grade to passing grades, he has been able to help me catch up if I ever fell behind. Richard Evans is wonderful and always exciting to work with, I always look forward to our tutoring sessions, and I highly recommend him as a tutor as he is excellent to work with. Richard is a fantastic tutor. He has been helping me for the past year with mainly calculus, but also a few of my other classes as well, such as Physics, Chemistry, and a bit of Biology. He is always very polite and respectful, and we have never had a conflict. He is very flexible with when we meet and when I have last minute conflicts, we can rearrange another time to meet. He is always prepared and ready to help me understand what I need to know in my class. For calculus especially, I struggle to grasp concepts and need extra help. Richard has always explained things clearly to me and if I need the extra help, he will go through it in more detail and give me more examples so I can have those resources in my notebook for when I come across the problem again. Overall, Richard is an amazing tutor. If it weren’t for him then I would have not done well in my classes. I highly recommend him to others because he will definitely help other learn and do better at understanding the subject, especially calculus!

Mr. Evans is very knowledgeable and skilled in Calculus, which he tutored my son in last year. He is very good at answering questions and is very responsive. During his once a week hourly tutoring sessions he has used a variety of techniques to engage my son. I really appreciate his different methods for different situations. He also been very responsive to any of our suggestions for tailoring those sessions for my son. I highly recommend Mr. Evans for Calculus (or other math) tutoring and I would want to use him again.
