Liza WuNYC, NYLiza Wu, NYC Professional Pianist/Vocal Coach/Performer/Music Director/Instructor- happy to help!
Welcome Singers!
Do you need help figuring out how to learn/read music quickly? Do you have an audition or performance coming up, which you'd like help with?
I love teaching, music, and all things piano/vocal music related! I've taught successful students for over 25 years and would love the opportunity to help more people love music. I'm happy to work with you to reach your goals within the time you have, in our busy daily lives.
I have built a career as a professional vocal coach/pianist/keyboardist/cathedral organist in NYC, and have performed all over the city, country, and world, with many well known classical vocal and instrumental performers (pls see bio), and most recently in Europe this past summer. I've also worked with Broadway shows, touring throughout North America (Columbia Artists Theatricals), TV/Film (SAG-AFTRA), and with pop/rock stars (Sony Developmental Artists). I have worked with students from Barnard/Columbia, NYU, the Professional Performing Arts School (NYC), Diller-Quaile School of Music, and School for Strings (NYC), as well as Interlochen Arts Camp.
Please join me! I'm happy to teach regular weekly sessions, or consult for contests, auditions, performances, contests, and other projects. My expertise is in teaching how to learn music quickly, fluidly, and efficiently, so that one can learn to read and present music easily, especially to be facile enough to work with others!
I'm currently accepting new (young or young-at-heart), committed students until my schedule sets in February.
Generally I schedule far in advance, and am happy to work with your schedule. I am flexible, so please do let me know what works for you, and we will figure it out.
Thanks, and hope to see you soon!
