I am a senior at Drake University pursuing a double major in Music Education and Percussion Performance, and I plan to audition for graduate percussion programs next year. I have been playing for 11 years and have won a few awards but my passion is teaching! I teach private percussion lessons, high school drumline, concert percussion ensemble, and bucket drumming for elementary kids. I often incorporate basic music theory, ear training, musicality, piano, and music reading in my private lessons.
At Drake, I have succeeded in courses in music theory (5 semesters), ear training (4 semesters), piano (4 semesters), instrument methods (vocal, high brass, low brass, double reeds, more in progress), and play Baritone in pep band. I am not an expert in these subjects, but I have the knowledge that a young fully-certified K-12 music teacher would, and would be happy to assist you however I can in any music topic for a discounted price!
