I graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering.
My line of work was in data processing which requires analysis, logical reasoning, and systematic methodology -- attributes I acquired and learned from Mathematics. I excelled and had high grades in Algebra and Trigonometry, and I usually got exempted from getting the final exams on Math and Science subjects.
Apart from my regular secular work, I was tutoring on the side since 1995 with students from prestigious schools and universities here in the Philippines such as the University of the Philippines, Quezon City Science High School, St. Scholastica, and Don Bosco among others. Most of my students were scholars and had to maintain their high grades. With pride and honor, I was able to help them maintain to be on top of their class until they graduated.
I am fond of teaching and imparting techniques to my students so they can appreciate more the importance of Math in their lives. We usually hear people say, “Math is hard!”. On the contrary, I am very passionate about helping the young generations to feel and think otherwise. I am here to help them and not to add to their burdens.
