Multi-talented grad student; Teaching students to love writing one session at a time.

I am a top of the line Creative Writing coach. I give feedback, tips, mentorship, and more than all else will teach you how to write consistently, and how to entertain an audience. If you are someone who pictures themselves one day creating music or cinematic experiences on the grandest stage of all I am the tutor for you. I can cater my lesson plans to any age and experience level I have taught from middle school all the way to M.F.A students. My goal is to help creatives struggling to manifest their inner artist. I am an M.F.A student from SIUC with a lot of experience and a lot of connections and opportunities, who can play both as a tutor and a networker for talented writers. I myself have written over 1000 pages in my first year of grad school while maintaining a part time job, and being a full time student. I can take that idea for a book that you have been mulling over for the past decade, and bring it to life within months. In my course there are several options of focus-- they are as follows; Story structure(s), character structure, good vs bad dialogue, Defeating Writer's Block, writing for TV, writing for feature film, writing for short film, Genre accuracy, songwriting, and how to speak with executives. Before meeting we will discuss what you are most interested in learning, and how it is best to go about learning them. No matter your current level or your artistic field. If you want to begin to professionalize your craft, please reach out and make you the best writer you can be.

Graduate with Honors, Published Author, Editor, Proofreader

English has been my passion since I was eight years old. I took an extracurricular writing class in the third grade, which lead to me being published for the first time that same year. I followed that passion throughout my entire academic career, from AP English classes in high school to getting my Bachelor's degree in college. In college, I took every single English class that I could. If I had the choice between a random extracurricular credit or taking another English class, I chose the English class every single time. I maintained a stellar GPA throughout college, including being one of the first people to receive a perfect 100% grade in the university's grammar course. My free time outside of classes was also spent doing English related activities, whether it be reading a multitude of books or working at the school's literary magazine. When I worked at the school's literary magazine, I had three jobs. The first was to select the stories that would be featured in the magazine. I would also help to format these stories and arrange the magazine in a logical order. My final job was to participate in editing days that were over eight hours long. We would meticulously pour over each sentence on every page to ensure that there were no grammar mistakes. This required a vast knowledge of the most intricate and minute details of the English language - which I enjoyed immensely. I would love to impart my knowledge of grammar to others. It isn't just my skills that would make me a great English teacher or tutor, but my passion for the subject. I have dedicated my entire life to English and literature. I would love to share that passion and knowledge with others.
