I recently graduated from Trinity University in 2022 and had plenty of experience writing long essays covering subjects in economics, art history, architectural theory, design, and history, and urban studies. Papers ranged from exposes to detailed research papers up to 20 pages in length. While at Trinity University, I wrote two 25-page research papers covering the Ancient Achaemenid Empire and Babylonian Empire as part of an independent research partnership with the head of the Egyptian and Mesopotamian Studies Department. As an urban studies major and architectural studies minor, the majority of my classes involved multiple essays for a major part of the grade. I also was a reporter for the Trinity University Yearbook for over a year in which I wrote 250-word spreads covering topics including current events, school events, and student activity weekly. More recently, I completed applications for Architecture Graduate Schol in which I wrote at least 15 different personal statements for the 8 schools that I applied to (Cornell, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Rice, USC, University of Toronto, MIT). My experience with this gives me confidence in the ability to assist students with application essays as well. I am an avid writer (journaling, creative writing) which gives me confidence that I can help students appreciate the essence and joy of writing outside of the academic realm.
