I have been teaching freshmen college students from developmental to advanced since 1994. My freshmen composition students my second year teaching at IUS, 9 out of 14 of them placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in national and state essay contests writing on Toni Morrison's _Beloved_ which is a challenge. I won the Distinguished Teaching Award that semester and year, beating out all the faculty there with years of history with them.

During these clusters, I'll use those five classes and help you really master every form of essay you'll encounter from argumentative/persuasive to informative, to the descriptive essay, and compare/contrast (harder than it sounds). Then we'll tackle the "critical thinking paper. It will take about 25 classes to get you doing advanced research papers of A quality but when you can do that, you are assuring your son, daughter, or self a future of more academic success than you would have enjoyed, because now you'll know how to handle every type of writing assignment you'll encounter till you graduate and beyond.
