I have worked with Bob on quite a few theatrical productions as both actor and stage manager/assistant director. He has always been more than prepared for every rehearal. He has always known the material and what his plans are for each rehearsal. He is one of my favorite directors.

My experience performing in Love From a Stranger, directed by Robert May, will forever be be held in my heart with deep reverence. One of my favorite exercises given to me as an actor was from Bob! He asked us to write out a backstory for our characters, as the script gave little detail to where they were from and what their lives were like beforehand. It enriched our characters in a way that made them feel truly REAL. The whole rehearsal process was so smooth and professional, while still being an absolute blast! I wish I could have continued to work with Robert, but I unfortunately had to move upstate. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a mentor/teacher/director!
