Hi! I'm Yuri. I was born and raised in Riga, Latvia. I worked for 14 years in Riga Technical University as senior scientist. In college I studied radio electronics (circuits, materials, technology). M... y Ph D was devoted to the new materials for thick film electronics. I lead several MS students and taught Chemistry and Physics. For 3 years I worked in Danish National Lab in Roskilde, Denmark. I participated in development of SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cells). After that with my family relocated to the USA. I worked in Physics Department of Catholic University of America for several years. After that I worked more than 20 years in the company that developed and produced batteries and filtration devices. In the company I also lectured young employees on materials science and analytical chemistry. I combine theory with practice. I try to make my teaching interesting.
