Before I started school, my mother bought a record-keeping book to keep track of my school years. On the page for first grade, I had written "writer" on the lines for what I wanted to be when I grew u... p. I knew my path at that age, and although I occasionally had a few detours, I continued on it. I studied English in college, became a high school English teacher, and then received two MAs--in English and Writing. After teaching high school for 20 years, I became an adjunct professor. I have also worked as a freelance writer and editor, and I have assisted many students with their college application essays. Hi! I'm Linda. I grew up in Miami, Florida but I now live in Pennsylvania, just outside Valley Forge. I have taught English for more than 20 years, first in high school and now as an adjunct professor... . Over the course of my career, I have taught students ranging in levels, and I try to tailor my teaching to my student's needs. I try to apply that teaching philosophy to tutoring as well. As a teacher/tutor, there is nothing that makes me happier than seeing my students master the material. In addition to teaching writing of all sorts, from academic writing to creative writing, I have taught philosophy. I love language and story, and I've turned that passion into a career.
