Hello, welcome to my lesson.
0:03
My name is Charlotte. I specialize in arts, art, history,
0:07
um, physics, specifically mechanics and electricity.
0:11
Um, I am originally from Los Angeles, California.
0:15
I went to Santa Monica College for a little bit,
0:18
but then, um, after the pandemic, my life changed
0:22
and, um, my interests,
0:24
my career interests took a drastic turn
0:26
and it led me to here in Orlando, Florida.
0:29
Um, in the beginning I wanted to be an animator
0:32
and I wanted to have my own animation studio
0:34
and make my own stories and comics and all this cool stuff.
0:38
But like I said, my interests changed even though I've
0:42
always had a love for drawing
0:43
and I've always drawn every single day
0:45
during this whole endeavor,
0:47
I've decided I wanted to become a pilot.
0:49
So I moved to Orlando, Florida
0:51
and I enrolled into a part 61 flight school.
0:54
Um, and that is still an ongoing endeavor for me,
0:57
but while enrolled in school, I worked
0:59
as a jet bridge mechanic.
0:60
So the jet bridge is the thing that goes up to the plane.
1:03
You know, when you board or deport a plane, it's the,
1:05
it's the bridge that goes up
1:06
and you can pile in or pile out.
1:09
And sometimes the bridge decides it doesn't wanna get
1:11
to the plane when you have like about a hundred
1:14
or so passengers waiting to deboard.
1:16
So they would call me over and I would come over
1:18
and I would fix it and everything would be great.
1:21
And during that job, I gained a real passion understanding
1:24
for mechanics and, um, electronics
1:28
and seeing how things like that worked.
1:29
I also worked on ground power units.
1:31
I worked on water cabinets.
1:32
Um, I worked on pca, use hvac, so that was really fun
1:36
and it made me wanna pursue more in the, um,
1:39
mechanical engineering side of aircraft.
1:42
So I went to the University of Florida.
1:44
I went to their, um, accredited sister school, avionic, um,
1:49
USA, and I got a certification in avionics.
1:52
So now I am offic an official aircraft electrician,
1:56
and I hope to share the knowledge
1:57
that I've gained on the field with you all here.
1:59
Um, I am, like I said,
2:01
I'm a professional artist on the side.
2:03
In addition to everything that I do
2:05
that's aviation related, I'm also an artist.
2:07
So if there's anything you wanna know, please, um,
2:11
let me know and let's see if we can work this out together.
2:13
Thank you.
