I have experience working with students learning the alphabet. Helping students recognize the letters, upper and lowercase, knowing the name of the letters, the sounds of each letter. I’ve worked wi... th students to help them understand how letters make words words make sentences. Showing students the letter itself, objects that start with that letter, whether it’s a picture or a real life object. When I read a book to students, I take the opportunity to point out the letter we are learning at the time. I’ve used games for letter recognition, learning how to pronounce words and recognize them. Hi! My name is Courtney, I’m 30 years old. I attended Skidmore ISD from kindergarten through high school. I attended Del Mar college for 3 semesters, I transferred to A&M Corpus Christi and graduated ... in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Development. I took several reading courses. One of my courses required us to tutor a student in elementary for 6 weeks. The elementary was on campus. We had to come up with our own lesson plans, activities and etc for each week. I’ve loved to read since elementary because of the teachers I had. Everybody has different ways they are able to understand what they are learning. So for me, when it comes to reading, I have to read out loud and that’s how I’m able to comprehend what I’m having to read. I currently live in Mathis,Tx. I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, movies, working on different projects and of course my passion helping students learn and achieve their goals and help them overcome their challenges academically.
