Hi! My name is Julie and I absolutely love teaching and I have been a teacher for over 30 years!! This past year I was a private tutor for individual students and I've been tutoring small groups of ... students online as well. I have found this work to be incredibly rewarding, challenging, and fun! My favorite part about tutoring is when I make connections with my students and they are willing to take risks in my class. I meet students "where they are" in their learning and scaffold their lessons in order for them to understand concepts more easily. I love laughing with my students and maintaining a light-hearted atmosphere. I also take my job very seriously. When a child is having trouble understanding the material, I quickly try a variety of methods to help facilitate their learning. I taught at Aspen Elementary School in grades one through six for 29 years, and gifted and talented children for five years.
