I submitted a request to LessonPal for a tutor to help a kid with a very specific and unique set of needs, and I am so glad Heather responded! We needed a tutor for our 17yo neurodiverse son to help him prepare for how college works, and also to help him work toward his goal of being a science fiction writer. She was able to combine the two needs into some excellent tutoring sessions. She was able to work with a rigid and literal thinker who could be difficult at times, and she was so knowledgeable about writing fiction, about becoming an author, and about SciFi! Our son ended up having sessions with Heather 2-3x/week over the summer, and it was the most productive summer vacation he has ever had. We are so pleased that we are planning on setting up some writing tutoring sessions over December break. Thank you Heather!
