I have worked with elementary students in educational and extracurricular camps,... so I know how to calm an elementary schooler down and keep them engaged in the activity at hand. I additionally have worked as a teacher’s assistant for the third grade in which I helped students in a wide range of subjects from writing, to math, to vocabulary, and social studies. Due to this experience, I know when a child is starting to focus on something else and how to bring their focus back into the lesson so they can learn and grow as students. When teaching elementary students, I try to add a touch more fun to the lesson, so the student stays intrigued and has an easier time remembering what they learned after the lesson has finished.
