I have tutored students in all three subjects for about 3 years, virtual and in-person.

Hey! I'm Destanee, a psychology major and sociology minor at Augusta University (AU) in Augusta, Georgia! I've lived in Augusta most of my life and it's where all of my roots are. On weekends I like t... o go downtown and try out new restaurants and listen to the jazz musicians play. On weekdays, I go to class and tutor at AUs nonprofit, the Literacy Center. I tutor students in grades K-12 in reading and language arts. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and have been tutoring for 3 years now. Prior to tutoring I was a mentor to special needs students which is where I picked up my love for both mentoring/tutoring and psychology. I learned that my favorite thing about tutoring is the outcome. I've watched students gain so much confidence from tutoring and that's one thing that will always keep me in the field. I now try to keep both tutoring and psychology in my life because I know they will always make me happy.read more
