Hi, I'm Sebastian. I grew up in a bi-cultural and bilingual family, and have been around a variety of languages since I was born. That has helped me to be able to be fluent in German, English, French,... and Spanish. In my free time, I love playing soccer and getting active in the beautiful PNW. I'm a sociology major, so I enjoy learning about some of the complexities of our social life. I started tutoring in high school, and have received much support from my parents with my teaching strategies, both of whom are teachers. I've tutored both my native and non-native languages and am able to relate to difficulties in those learning processes. Some children may have trouble in their academic performance because of external tumult or change. As a child of divorced parents, I am able to understand the possibilities and difficulties of those situations. My approach is trying to empower students to see their own abilities and strengths. There is seldom a "wrong" answer or wrong way in navigating foreign languages, so having the courage to make grammatical errors or spelling mistakes is a huge step in reaching one's learning goals.read more
