I have taken chemistry in high school and finished with an A. I went on to graduate from the University of West Georgia cum laude having taken many chemistry courses. Hi, my name is Michael Cook and I am from a small town in Georgia. I graduated from high school with a 4.0 as an honor student and in the top 10 of my class. I went on to graduate college with a Bache... lors of Science majoring in biology and psychology. I mainly specialize in the sciences. I graduated cum laude from the University of West Georgia on a pre-med track. I have tutored friends and fellow classmates all throughout school, but I officially started tutoring as a peer academic coach in college. My grades were high enough to be offered this position. In this position I helped fellow students struggling in various courses (although mainly biology) and also taught helpful studying and time management skills. I enjoy helping students develop an understanding of the material and watching that final piece click or fall in place for them. By working and talking through key concepts and examples the student is able to become more confident with the material and understand why things work as they do rather than just learning them for a test.
