I am a doctoral student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying

and I have been working in higher ed helping students for five, six years now.

Um, I'm really passionate about being a mentor and advisor to students

struggling kind of all areas. Um,

but more specifically the areas that I'm interested in tutoring in, um,

are essay writing, career development, uh,

sociology and studies skills. Um,

currently I am a learning specialist at disability Services at UMass Amherst,

and I am really passionate about helping students develop sustainable

study skills.

This is something that's a challenge to everyone in the college and high school

environments. Um,

so it's something that I've really made the center of my practice, um,

as a doctoral student. Um,

and I hope to bring this knowledge to students here as well. Um,

in terms of essay writing, um, I've had a lot of experience as a copy editor,

um, as a research assistant, um, and looking at different types of writing.

Um, in terms of career development, uh,

I used to work in a career center, um, on a college campus. So that was, uh,

something that really helped me develop and hone my, um,

resume and cover letter building skills. Um,

and I was a sociology major in undergrad, so I am always, uh,

get excited to talk about sociology and think about, um,

theory and concepts in that realm. Um,
